The Document Collation profile groups pages located in one or more consecutive input files starting with the Document ID barcode page, and including all subsequent pages, till the next Document ID barcode. 
 

 

Typical applications

• Bulk scanning applications where the large stacks of documents are randomly broken into smaller stacks in order to fit the scanner feeder.   Each sub-stack is scanned in to a single input file .  This profile re-groups pages belonging to a document located in one or more consecutive input files.

• The same situation may occur if the scanner jams while scanning a single stack, leading to sub-stack creation.  

• If faxing application very large document might be send as several fax transmission, each creating a separate file arriving from the same phone. At receiving end this profile re-groups pages from multiple input file in a single document.

• In faxing application single transmission of a document is interrupted due to jamming or communication error.  At receiving end multiple input files are re-grouped in a single document.

Exceptions Notes

A No Document ID Exception is generated if a barcode is not present on the first page of the input file in a session .
